Description

Terminal is hiring a Founding Technical Recruiter to build and own its technical hiring function from the ground up, with direct responsibility for engineering, data, and data platform engineering searches. The role owns full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, screening, scheduling, offers, close, candidate messaging, interview loops, calibration, and the hiring operating system, while reporting to the CEO and working closely with the CTO and technical leads. It is open only to Toronto/GTA-based candidates and offers a base salary of $115,000-$152,000 plus equity and benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of recruiting experience, including at least two years owning a full recruiting cycle
Experience closing senior and staff engineers in competitive markets with competing offers and early-stage equity compensation conversations
Technical sourcing and ability to evaluate senior and staff engineers' systems and data-scale experience
Experience managing technical recruiting pipelines and funnel metrics
Experience building a technical recruiting function from zero
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as the first recruiter at a company
Recruiting experience with highly technical products and staff
Existing network across Toronto's engineering and data communities
Experience working in a high-quality talent environment
