Description

Fidus is hiring an FPGA Designer to develop complex FPGA and CPLD systems for clients, including architecture, RTL implementation, IP integration, simulation, timing closure, lab testing, debugging, customer demonstrations, and technical support. The role uses Xilinx and Intel FPGA families and tools, requires at least five years of RTL/Verilog/VHDL FPGA design experience, and is fully remote with at least 20% domestic and international travel. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Applied Science, Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of FPGA design experience using RTL, Verilog, or VHDL
Experience with video systems, algorithms, high-speed memory and bus interfaces, communications protocols, and DSP or processor instantiations
Experience designing with Xilinx or Altera FPGA families and understanding FPGA tool flows
Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, and/or ModelSim
RTL design and verification, including test benches, functional simulations, and timing closure
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with video systems and related standards, algorithms, high-speed interfaces, communications protocols, and DSP or processor instantiations
Strong communication, English fluency, customer interaction, and ability to learn new technologies
Proven high-quality design practices
Use of AI in engineering
