Description

Q-Block Computing is hiring a full-time permanent FPGA Engineer in Ottawa to design and verify real-time FPGA control and data-acquisition logic for quantum hardware. The role covers RTL design in VHDL or Verilog, high-speed ADC/DAC and serial interfaces, real-time DSP pipelines, sub-microsecond timing and synchronization, FPGA build flows, simulation and verification, firmware integration, and on-hardware debugging. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree, at least four years of FPGA design and verification experience, and proficiency with Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Lattice toolchains. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a closely related field
Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of professional FPGA design and verification experience using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
Hands-on experience with Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Lattice toolchains, including timing constraint definition and closure
Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree
