Monzo is hiring a Fraud Investigator for its Prevent team to investigate active fraud attempts across authorised card and faster payment channels. The role involves analysing flagged transactions, deciding whether to release or block suspicious activity, contacting customers by phone and chat, securing compromised accounts, triaging cases, reviewing limit increases, managing account closures, and educating victims. It is a remote UK role on a permanent weekend rotation, with an 11-week training programme and a start date of January 18, 2027. The salary is £16,620–£21,360 per year pro rata based on 22.5 hours per week, plus performance-based incentive awards.
