Description
CSX is hiring a Freight Conductor to safely coordinate train crews, place rail cars for loading and unloading, make up or break down trains, inspect equipment, operate switches and locomotive remote-control equipment, and coordinate with customers and railroad personnel. The role requires at least one year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and successful completion of drug, medical, and background checks. New hires attend four weeks of paid training in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by on-the-job training and work that may include nonstandard hours, overtime, travel, and outdoor conditions. Projected first-year earnings are $97,185, with bi-weekly training and on-the-job pay rates and deferred first- and second-year bonuses.
