Description
The Freight Handler (Forklift Operator) loads, unloads, stages, scans, tracks, and moves freight in a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment. The role uses forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment; coordinates dock activities; documents freight; identifies damaged or unsafe conditions; and supports workflow, productivity, and safety. The position requires forklift certification, at least three years of dock or warehouse experience, English communication, basic arithmetic, computer and scanner skills, regular attendance, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment. Compensation is $20.00 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour night-shift differential, with Schedule 1 listed as Monday through Friday and Saturday off.
