Description
The Freight Handler loads and unloads freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks; operates forklifts and pallet jacks; secures, stacks, and verifies shipments; maintains dock tools and quality-control procedures; and reports shortages and damages. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English communication ability, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather and schedules. Preferred qualifications include warehouse or dock experience and forklift or hazmat training. The pay rate is $27.90 to $32.15 per hour based on experience.
