Description
Saia is hiring full-time and part-time freight handlers to sort and handle freight in and out of over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks. The role involves loading and unloading trailers with forklifts and pallet jacks, operating dock tools, securing and stacking freight, verifying shipments, processing shortages and damages, and maintaining a safe work environment. Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, be authorized to work in the United States, and be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English. Warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience and forklift or hazmat training are preferred. The position requires physical freight handling, outdoor dock and yard exposure, and varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay is $25.00 to $28.70 per hour based on experience.
