Description
The Fuels Distribution System Operator manages the issue, receipt, storage, quality control, transfer, and dispensing of aviation fuel, de-icing fluid, gasoline, compressed natural gas, heating oil, and diesel fuel at Columbus Air Force Base. The role also inspects and maintains fuel facilities, equipment, tanks, and distribution systems; supports 24-hour, 7-day operations; maintains safety, hazardous-waste, and quality-control records; and initiates emergency procedures. It requires two years of USAF Fuels specialty or civilian-equivalent experience, relevant military-equivalent certification, a current or obtainable NACI, U.S. citizenship, hazardous-material and tanker endorsements, and the ability to work rotating shifts.
