OpenAI is hiring a full-stack Software Engineer to build and operate backend systems, workflow tools, data pipelines, and interfaces for lawful data access requests and Legal Operations. The role focuses on accurate record retrieval, authorization, auditability, privacy and security controls, automation, production reliability, and reusable privacy infrastructure. It is based in San Francisco, California, with London, United Kingdom, and Dublin, Ireland as additional locations under consideration, and uses a hybrid model of three office days per week with relocation assistance.
