Description
The employer is hiring a full-stack software engineer to build software for microgrids and distributed energy resources. The role is based in the New York City office in the Union Square area and reports to the Director of Software Engineering. Responsibilities include front-end web applications, backend APIs and microservices, financial modeling, mathematical optimization, simulation infrastructure, IoT and messaging pipelines, system design, reliability and observability, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least five years of Python and JavaScript/TypeScript development experience, energy and optimization experience, and expertise with technologies such as FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL, Pyomo, MQTT, AWS IoT, and SCADA platforms.
