Description
The Assistant Caretaker supports the Caretaker and Property Director by maintaining the grounds and facilities of the Holy Family Retreat Center. Responsibilities include landscaping, grass mowing, tree trimming, irrigation and drainage work, cleaning, painting, window cleaning, minor repairs, plumbing, insect control, equipment maintenance, and room setup for retreat activities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three months of ground-maintenance experience, a valid Texas driver’s license, Diocesan Safe Environment Training, and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping, and equipment maintenance. It is a 40-hour-per-week position generally scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with possible weekend work and occasional overtime.
