Description
The role assists in supervising and managing a classroom of children, providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment while supporting children's social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Responsibilities include caring for children's personal needs, planning age-appropriate activities, supervising groups, communicating with parents and staff, maintaining records, supporting other classrooms, and serving as a substitute when needed. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, New York State Registry and criminal history clearances, physician confirmation of good health, and completion of 15 hours of early childhood training within the first six months and annually thereafter; one year of related work experience with children is preferred.
