Description
The Host welcomes and directs restaurant guests, manages seating charts and wait lists, coordinates dining-room staff, provides estimated wait times, escorts guests to tables, and relays special-event information to servers and managers. The role requires customer service and communication skills, POS and card-processing ability, reliable attendance, professional appearance, and the ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions. A Food Handlers certification must be obtained before employment begins.
