Datalab is hiring a fullstack engineer to build interfaces, tools, and infrastructure for developers and enterprises using its OCR, extraction, and document-understanding systems. The role covers backend, frontend, inference performance, open-source repositories, APIs, community engagement, and customer implementation support. It requires at least five years of fullstack development experience, startup experience, production systems experience, and familiarity with LLMs and agentic workflows; Python ML frameworks, document processing, computer vision, OCR, open-source contributions, and technical content are bonuses. The position is in-person in New York City and pays $225,000–$300,000 plus 0.15%–0.35% equity.
