fun.xyz is hiring a Backend Engineering Manager to lead and scale its backend infrastructure team supporting Web3 payments. Reporting to the CTO, the manager will own reliable and scalable backend systems, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and protocol teams, establish engineering practices, lead incident response and post-mortems, and shape technical architecture and engineering culture. The role requires staff-level IC engineering experience, distributed systems, APIs, database design, cloud-stack knowledge, leadership experience, and experience with payment systems, financial infrastructure, or fintech applications.
