Ford is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer to support the development of software-enabled vehicle technologies across motion control, brakes, steering, driveline, vehicle dynamics, active safety, driver assistance, infotainment, and distributed systems. The role applies ISO 26262 principles from concept through production, develops safety analyses and requirements, collaborates with global engineering teams, and uses model-based systems engineering practices. Candidates need relevant engineering education, at least two years of vehicle-systems experience, and experience with vehicle motion controls, technical requirements, and systems engineering. The position is hybrid, requires onsite presence four or more days per week, and offers a base salary of $99,600 to $166,600.
