Ford is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer to develop and maintain HARA, FSC, SRS, DFMEA, FTA, DFA, and safety requirement documents; support safety verification and validation; create and evaluate DVP test cases; and collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and V&V stakeholders to deliver safe software-defined vehicles. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent education and experience, with functional-safety, mass-production, and model-based systems engineering experience preferred. It is a hybrid position requiring onsite work four or more days per week and offers salary grades ranging from $74,300 to $156,200 depending on the candidate’s skills and experience.
