indie Semiconductor is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer to lead and advocate for the functional safety lifecycle across automotive-focused semiconductor and sensor projects. The role involves analyzing safety requirements, developing technical safety concepts, deriving HW and SW safety requirements, collaborating with design teams and system architects, creating safety analysis work products such as FMEA/FTA/FMEDA/DFA, and supporting verification, validation, customer reviews, and safety assessments. Candidates should have 5+ years in the semiconductor industry or be highly motivated early-career applicants, a relevant engineering or science degree, strong ISO 26262 knowledge, and experience with safety documentation and requirements management tools.
