Atoms is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer to own hazard analysis, risk assessment, fault and failure analysis, sensor-safety, change-impact assessment, and the reusable safety-analysis method and tooling used by safety-case engineers. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on functional safety experience across safety-critical hardware domains, expertise with HARA, FMEA, FTA, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and UL 4600, hardware and electrical knowledge, and Python tooling. It is based in the San Francisco office, requires onsite work five days per week, and offers a base salary of $182,000 to $238,000 per year plus potential equity and benefits.
