Description
The Functional Validation Engineer - Payload Software (PLSW) will validate payload software for a telecoms satellite programme, translating functional requirements into automated Java test procedures and executing tests across SATSIM simulation and hardware RF environments. The role covers test execution, software verification and non-regression, defect management, test reporting, simulation fidelity analysis, and collaboration with distributed engineering teams. It requires software verification, Java, Linux, RF test equipment, CCSDS standards, and source-control experience, with Python, satellite communications, and safety-critical validation experience desirable.
