Description
The Funeral Director prepares, plans, and executes funeral and memorialization services, coordinating with families, clergy, organizations, vendors, and employees; preparing and transporting remains; arranging visitations and services; completing required documentation; and instructing Apprentice Funeral Directors. The role requires a valid state Funeral Director license, at least two years of licensed experience, a driver’s license, strong communication and customer-service skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 100 pounds and handling chemicals or bloodborne pathogens.
