Description
The Funeral Services Associate works under a licensed funeral director to implement families’ choices for funeral arrangements, cremation, and internment. Responsibilities include on-call family support, handling deceased remains, arranging and conducting ceremonies, negotiating contracts, coordinating interment or cremation, assisting with funeral services, completing service documentation, and providing aftercare. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion or enrollment in a mortuary college or technical school program, at least six months of funeral home, crematory, or cemetery experience, applicable licensing, and a current driver’s license.
