Description
Learns to care for the remains of the deceased in a respectful manner while performing preparation, restoration, removals, transfers, dressing, styling hair, applying cosmetics, and related funeral service tasks under the supervision of a licensed embalmer. The role requires compliance with licensing regulations, maintenance of the preparation room and facility, handling hazardous materials safely, assisting with inventory and supplies, and supporting a safe work environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be enrolled in or have completed mortuary science/funeral service training, meet state/province licensing requirements, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift over 75 pounds. The position pays $23.00 per hour and includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other standard benefits.
