Description
The Furnace Operator is responsible for keeping a Reverb and electric arc furnace operating safely, environmentally, and productively. The role includes monitoring furnace parameters, performing refractory repairs and replacements, operating heavy equipment, maintaining slag flow and furnace feeds, interpreting slag analysis, and filling in five furnace-department positions as needed. Candidates must communicate in English, work safely, participate in company safety and environmental programs, and be able to operate furnaces and heavy equipment.
