Description
The Electric Arc Furnace Operator operates electric arc furnaces in an electric steelmaking plant, managing charging and melting practices, electrode consumption, metallic yield, thermal and energy balances, raw materials, and production indicators. The role requires at least three years of experience in an electric steelmaking plant, experience with electric arc furnaces and continuous-production environments, and experience supervising unionized or operational personnel. Responsibilities include leading operational personnel, coordinating shift teams, planning work, solving operational problems, managing resources, maintaining safety and discipline, and following up on results. Spanish and English at a basic level are required.
