The role ensures compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434, conducts functional safety audits and assessments, monitors safety-related risks and non-conformities, supports release recommendations, and drives root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions. Candidates need strong knowledge of the functional safety lifecycle, experience with HARA, FMEA/DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, safety concepts, and safety requirements management, and experience auditing cross-functional hardware, software, design, verification, and systems teams.
