Description

Emerson is seeking a Hardware Engineering Lead to lead hardware engineering for DCS projects, including architecture, cabinet design, I/O distribution, network layout, third-party interfaces, deliverables, project execution, FAT, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer handover. The role requires a degree in engineering, 10 years of DCS or PLC project engineering and commissioning experience, proficiency with industrial control platforms, multi-stakeholder coordination, and industrial protocol knowledge. The position involves travel to Emerson factories and project sites and offers medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent field
Required Previous Experiences: 10 years of project engineering and commissioning experience in DCS or PLCs
Experience supporting multi-stakeholder execution involving engineering centers, front offices, customers, and integrators or vendors
Experience interfacing third-party systems with DCS using industrial protocols such as Modbus and DNP3
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and commission documents
Ability to present information and respond to management, client, and customer queries
Experience with Thermal/Combined Cycle or Water Treatment projects
Knowledge of datalinks, including Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, ELC, Profibus, and OPC
Ability to effectively handle multiple stakeholders
