Description
The Therapeutic Recreation Program Manager oversees the daily operations of a therapeutic recreation program, including goal development, budget and capital monitoring, staff hiring and supervision, community partnerships, program development, reporting, and participant transportation. The role requires knowledge of therapeutic recreation programming and budgetary administration, policy development, management, communication, independent work, and vehicle operation, along with a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of progressively responsible related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The work is typically performed outdoors, may involve inclement weather and exposure to dust, dirt, grease, machinery, and chemicals, and requires physical abilities including lifting, climbing, walking, and operating a motor vehicle.
