Description
This night-shift position operates and maintains heavy equipment and trucks for roadway, grounds, infrastructure, and city-property work. Duties include operating dump trucks, street sweepers, tractors, loaders, stump grinders, bucket trucks, and other specialized equipment; cutting trees, mowing, cleaning curbs and drainage, stocking supplies, transporting equipment, assisting with traffic control, inspecting vehicles and equipment, preparing work orders and accident reports, responding to 911 pages, and supervising community-service workers and inmates. The role requires a Georgia driver's license and CDL, specialized equipment and roadway-safety training, and the ability to pass the Department of Corrections three-day certification.
