Description
The Garage Shift Supervisor oversees daily maintenance and garage operations at a transit facility, ensuring buses are safe, reliable, and available for scheduled service. The role supervises maintenance personnel, coordinates preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, fueling, and parking, monitors performance and safety compliance, investigates accidents and equipment failures, and collaborates with Operations, Dispatch, and other departments. Candidates need two years of mechanic or similar maintenance experience, a valid Class D Wisconsin driver’s license, and a Class B commercial driver’s license with a P endorsement or the ability to obtain a CDL permit; an associate’s degree and two years of supervisory experience are preferred.
