Description
The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Chief Counsel, is hiring a Special U.S. Attorney (SAUSA) to serve as a General Attorney in the Office of Associate Chief Counsel and be detailed to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Arizona in Tucson. The role handles public-integrity cases involving CBP employees, including civil and criminal litigation, investigations, hearings, trials, appeals, legal training, and guidance on integrity, fraud, corruption, procurement fraud, and civil rights. The position is temporary, not to exceed two years with a possible two-year extension, and pays $108,455 to $166,615 at GS-13/14 Step 1. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold an ABA-accredited law degree, be in good standing with a U.S. bar, and have more than two years of specialized legal experience, including handling criminal or civil litigation and appearing in court.
