Outset is hiring its first General Counsel to build the legal function from the ground up. The role serves as the primary legal advisor, owns corporate legal matters, and partners with People, Sales, and Product as the company scales. Responsibilities include corporate governance, equity administration, fundraising support, M&A and strategic partnership evaluation, enterprise SaaS contract negotiation, vendor and procurement agreements, employment law, multi-state compliance, intellectual property, outside counsel management, and regulatory risk. The position requires a JD, active California bar membership, at least seven years of legal experience including in-house experience at a high-growth SaaS or technology company, and direct experience with data privacy and AI regulatory frameworks.
