Description
The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for recording business transactions in the general ledger, fixed-asset and banking accounting; managing general ledger accounting under HGB and IFRS; preparing financial statements; reconciling accounts; maintaining bookkeeping; supporting accounting and balance-sheet queries; and collaborating with specialist departments during closing and audit processes. The role requires commercial training or a relevant degree, several years of general ledger accounting experience, knowledge of HGB and SAP or comparable ERP systems, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluent German and/or English.
