Description
The General Maintenance Technician 1.5 performs a broad range of non-technical facilities maintenance and repair work across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, grounds, equipment, and building systems. The role is developmental, intended to build competency and independence toward the General Maintenance Technician II classification, and includes routine repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, equipment operation, and basic supervision or mentoring of student employees. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and an evangelical Christian commitment; higher education, three or more years of maintenance experience, and higher-education experience are preferred.
