Description
The General Maintenance Technician supports the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and appearance of a workforce accommodations facility. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the role performs general maintenance and minor repairs, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, grounds maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, commercial kitchen equipment support, preventative maintenance, and safety reporting. The position requires practical experience with repairs, painting, and grounds maintenance; hand and power tool use; independent task management; attention to detail and safety awareness; and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift 35–50 pounds. Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or building upkeep is preferred, while commercial kitchen equipment experience is an asset.
