Description
The General Mechanic performs preventative, corrective, and maintenance work on engines, boilers, pumps, air compressors, air-conditioning and heating systems, steam lines, valves, controls, building systems, production equipment, and maintenance support equipment. The role operates and tests equipment, reads blueprints and service manuals, performs acetylene and electric arc welding, records data, and may travel to off-site locations. It is a full-time, 80-hour-per-pay-period position with a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift, holidays, on-call duty, and rotating weekends at Upper Valley Medical Center.
