The General Service Technician at Monro is a blended role responsible for both front counter and back shop duties. This includes performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance, communicating with guests about vehicle issues, driving sales of automotive services and tires, and ensuring a welcoming in-store atmosphere. The technician also acts as a key holder and manager on duty when needed, contributing to a superior guest experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and have the ability to operate customer’s vehicles to conduct test drives.
Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to take initiative in identifying problems, collecting data, and establishing facts to make practical decisions and recommend solutions.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical issues and write routine reports.
