Description
Cartesian is hiring a generalist software engineer to own end-to-end product features across its indoor retail positioning platform. The role combines user-facing applications, mobile and web tools, data pipelines, dashboards, scalable APIs, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform architecture. The engineer will collaborate with customers, product, research, and business teams, work autonomously, and spend five days per week in person in Kendall Square. The position requires at least two years of experience building software products at a high-engineering-bar company, strong product and engineering judgment, and excellent written communication. The technology stack includes Python, FastAPI, Android, Kotlin, Postgres, Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, PyTorch, Ray, Next.js, and TypeScript. Compensation is $100,000–$180,000 annually plus equity.
