Description
ERCOT is hiring four levels of Large Load Integration Engineers to manage the interconnection process for stand-alone large loads and co-located energy storage or resource projects from application through energization or commercial operation. The role includes powerflow and security screening studies, interconnection application review, reliability analysis, compliance with NERC and ERCOT requirements, integration into ERCOT models, and development of tools, dashboards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities increase with level, including market analysis, protocol development, stakeholder presentations, training, and cross-functional leadership. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field is required, along with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience; experience with powerflow studies and electrical one-line drawings is required for Engineer 2 and above.
