Description
ERCOT is hiring Generation Interconnection Engineers at five levels: Engineer 1, Engineer 2, Engineer 3, Engineer Sr, and Engineer Lead. The roles manage generation and energy storage interconnection applications, review and approve interconnection studies and agreements, perform security screening and contingency transfer studies, coordinate with market participants and ERCOT departments, and support network modeling, commissioning, automation, and process improvements. Engineer 1 requires no minimum work experience, while Engineers 2 through Engineer Lead require 1, 3, 5, and unspecified additional relevant experience respectively. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, is required. The expected salary range is $87,000 to $120,000.
