Description
HDR is hiring a Geotechnical Designer/EI in Columbia, South Carolina to perform geotechnical analysis and design for transportation and other infrastructure projects under the direction of a licensed professional engineer. The role includes reviewing subsurface and laboratory data, conducting slope stability and settlement analyses, overseeing field exploration programs and subcontractors, preparing drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and reports, and coordinating with project managers. Up to 40% travel for site visits and subsurface exploration oversight is expected. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required; an EIT certificate and master's degree in geotechnical engineering are preferred, with CAD/MicroStation experience also preferred.
