Description
AECOM is hiring a Geotechnical Engineer to design, analyze, and oversee tailings dams, embankments, and related infrastructure for tailings management projects across Canada and elsewhere. The role includes geotechnical analyses, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, technical reporting, Deputy Engineer of Record responsibilities, and mentorship of junior engineers. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least six years of geotechnical experience focused on tailings dams, Canadian Professional Engineer designation or eligibility, and experience as a Deputy EOR for at least two tailings dams. The position may be based in any of AECOM’s Canadian offices, and sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available.
