Description

AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support mine tailings, geotechnical, and heavy civil infrastructure projects within its Mining group. The role involves geotechnical exploration, laboratory testing, material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses, along with calculation packages, reports, drawings, specifications, technical presentations, and instrumentation monitoring. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus two years of relevant experience or equivalent experience and education, a valid U.S. driver's license, and 30% travel or field time. Relocation and sponsorship are unavailable, and in-person Day 1 onboarding is required.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a relevant field
Required Previous Experiences: Two years of relevant experience or equivalent experience and education
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Arts or Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis
EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months
Four or more years of relevant experience
Basic knowledge of GeoStudio, Utexas, Grapher, and AutoCAD Civil3D
Field or construction experience, with tailings or dam experience preferred
Familiarity with design reports, drawings, and specifications
