Description
The Geotechnical Engineer runs TRI’s Austin laboratory interface friction testing program and develops toward signatory responsibility, while also performing soil-geosynthetic interaction and geotechnical laboratory tests. The role involves setting up and maintaining test equipment, coordinating clients and technicians, preparing test data and reports, and supporting ASTM and industry committee work. Applicants need a BS in civil engineering or a closely related ABET-accredited field, relevant coursework, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform physical laboratory work; an MS in civil engineering, PE license, and familiarity with the listed ASTM methods are preferred.
