Lam Research is hiring a GPS Engineer for its Aether Global Product Support team to provide second-line technical support for complex semiconductor equipment, computer systems, software, and networked or wireless systems. The role supports field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel, handles escalations, customer installations, qualification, training, certification, and reporting of design, reliability, maintenance, and software issues. It may be performed at the factory or in the field, requires short-notice travel and work at customer wafer fabrication sites, and includes approximately 40% worldwide travel. The position requires at least five years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or three years with a master’s degree, or a PhD without experience, along with physical and cleanroom capabilities. The San Francisco Bay Area salary range is $86,000 to $192,000.
