Description
AWS is hiring a Global Strategy Engineer to lead front-end engineering and design strategy for new owned and leased data center site developments. The role covers engineering due diligence, site master planning, predesign, site selection, design strategy implementation, and coordination with real estate, risk, power, water, fiber, environmental, pre-construction, and other data center engineering teams. The engineer will work across multiple global regions, lead project teams through ambiguity, and occasionally travel up to 25%, with international support included. The position requires at least four years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission-critical facilities and a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; a professional engineer license and experience with data center systems and construction documents are preferred. The listed base salary is $116,800 to $160,000 USD annually in the four listed United States locations.
