Description

SpaceX is hiring a Global Supply Manager (Raptor) to lead the supply chain for critical aerospace components, including machined parts, mechanical assemblies, sheet metal, forgings, castings, and hardware. The role manages supplier development, sourcing strategies, contracts, cost and should-costing analysis, manufacturing capacity, quality, risk mitigation, and technical procurement across new product introduction and high-volume production. It is based onsite in Hawthorne, California, requires significant aerospace or purchasing experience, and offers a base salary of $135,000 to $200,000 plus benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Advanced degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience with an emphasis in CNC machined parts, forgings, or raw materials.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience identifying and executing an optimized machining supply chain covering raw materials, machining, material processing, inspection, and logistics.
Experience sourcing from a global supply base for machined components and assemblies.
Experience in strategic technical procurement, new product introduction, and high-volume production procurement, manufacturing, or design and development.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing large-value contracts and global supply bases while balancing configuration changes and cost, quality, and schedule.
Ability to read drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerances, preliminary design reviews, and quality documents.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills for communicating with senior leadership.
Success in technical and strategic negotiations while meeting quality expectations and driving cost reduction.
