Description
The Glowfari Operations Manager will serve as the onsite manager during Oakland Zoo’s nighttime Glowfari program, overseeing event readiness, guest flow, lanterns, lighting, music, rides, restricted areas, weather impacts, and site conditions. The role coordinates with the Zoo’s Project Manager, internal departments, and vendors; handles elevated guest-service issues, operational troubleshooting, service recovery, and emergency response; and supports emergency preparedness, cross-departmental operations, and end-of-season reporting. The position is seasonal, beginning in early September and ending on February 19, with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends, and pays $35.84 to $37.89 per hour.
