SpaceX is hiring a GNC Engineer to develop guidance, navigation, and control systems for Starship and other launch vehicles. The role involves vehicle systems architecture, 6-DOF dynamics simulation, trajectory and flight-stability analysis, post-flight data correlation, launch and mission operations support, and GNC software testing using hardware-in-the-loop, Monte Carlo, and unit-testing methods. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in physics or engineering, experience with control systems, orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation, and proficiency in Python or C++. Postgraduate education, launch-vehicle experience, complex-problem-solving ability, communication skills, and willingness to work extended hours or weekends are preferred or required.
